I am Alexandra 0xAlexeeva, founder and lead retoucher at REFINE.PHOTOS
I have been working professionally in photo retouching since 2013, with a focus on advertising, beauty, fashion, editorial, interiors, product and fine art photography.
My approach combines technical precision with a strong visual sensibility. I work with color, texture, complex compositing and detailed image refinement while preserving the character and intention of the original photograph.
My background goes beyond retouching. I studied professional Photoshop and commercial retouching at Profile School, Graphic Design at the International University of Art and Design, and Photographic Arts at the International Academy of Photographic Arts. My professional experience includes commercial retouching and image production work in Los Angeles and Ecuador.
Alongside my commercial practice, I am an internationally exhibited contemporary artist. My work has been shown in Venice, Shanghai, Moscow and St. Petersburg, and has received recognition from Arte Laguna Prize, the International Photography Awards and other international photography competitions.
In 2025, my work was selected by Arte Laguna Prize among the Top 100 contemporary artworks from the prize 20-year history. In 2026, I became an Arte Laguna Prize Ambassador and received recognition from the International Photography Awards.
My artistic work and projects have also been featured in international and Russian media, including Il Giornale d'Italia and Bellunopress.
For me, retouching is not about making an image look processed. It is about making it look exactly as it should.
